So, I think just about everyone has been buzzing about this girl band GRL. They've sang three really catchy songs which are Ugly Heart, Vacation and Show Me What You Got.
Simone Battle, sadly killed herself on September 5th at only 25 years old. Things were looking good for her and her band and they really were becoming more and more successful. TMZ reports that Simone Battle had been struggling with money problems, before committing suicide. She was worried that she hadn't hit in in the U.S. and worried she never would. Simone's boyfriend last saw her at about 3:45 a.m. on September 5th and then at about 8am, found her hanging in her closet at her West Hollywood home that same morning.
G.R.L's record label made a statement on the singers death, saying "
A statement was released by G.R.L's record label on Saturday morning confirming the star's tragic death.
It read: “We are deeply saddened by the tragic news of the loss of Simone Battle of G.R.L.
“Simone was an exceptional young talent and human being, and we are all devastated to learn of her passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and loved ones at this time.”
On Saturday afternoon, Simone's distraught bandmates made their own statement.
"Words cannot express the depth of our loss. Simone's incredible talent was only surpassed by the size of her heart," the band wrote on Twitter.
"We will carry her memory with us in everything we do."
Cheryl Cole, Simon Cowell and Mel B are a few other star who have paid tribute to the singer.
Taking to Twitter on Saturday afternoon, Cheryl wrote : "Such tragically sad news to hear of the passing of Simone battle.. My thoughts and prayers are with her loved ones #RIPSimone."
Cowell added : "I am so sad to hear about the news Simone Battle has passed away. She was such a fun nice person. It's such a loss. Rest in peace Simone."
The heartbreaking story about G.R.L. singer Simone Battle’s tragic death continues to be filled with sad new details. Simone’s father, Anthony Battle, previously told TMZ that his daughter’s boyfriend is the person who found her body. The site reports that Simone was found hanging in a closet in her bedroom.
